Sick and Tired
You know, I really want to keep this blog as something that speaks about values and things that go along with that; at least the first few posts to give a background. You know, keep a positive tone so you understand my values and where I am coming from. However, there is something that I just came across in a headline that made my blood boil. It ties in really well with our discussion on personal responsibility.
“Recession Turns Family Man Into Alleged Bank Robber”
It is an example of somebody trying to blame one event on another. This recession did not turn anyone into a bank robber. The person who made the decision to rob the bank turned themselves into a bank robber. I know that times are tough for people, even tougher for some than others. However, no matter how bad it gets in your life, you are still in control of your decisions. You are responsible for them. Don’t try to put them blame on something or someone else. It’s just an example about how society is always looking for a scapegoat instead of holding individuals responsible for their own decisions.
